2020 in Review: The Quarantine Year
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the year. The Spotify Top Songs get reposted, the photo dumps take over Instagram, and the “New Year, New Me” captions pop up again.
What if I told you my biggest accomplishment in 2020 was watching seven seasons of New Girl in precisely seven days. Now, if you’re familiar with the quirky comedy of Zooey Deschanel, you know that is no small feat.
Like many, my quarantine months were spent at home, on the couch, in front of a screen. Ultimately, television kept many of us connected even when most of the world was on pause. Whether it was re-watching an old series, binging a new one, discovering classics, or finding some hidden gems, television gave us that little bit of joy. From The Last Dance to Emily in Paris and everything in between, there was certainly no shortage of content to keep us entertained.
So, while you reflect on the highs and lows of this year, I’ve decided to bring you a 2020 reflection of my own — a list of all the shows I’ve watched or re-watched in quarantine. We all reached that point in quarantine where we felt like there was nothing left to binge but trust me; the reality is, there is ALWAYS something left to binge.
Over quarantine, I’ve watched 45 television series and I have not one regret. Because if I hadn’t, how else would you figure out what’s next in the queue? Think of me and this blog as your personal TV Guide to all things binge-worthy.
